Glow Cube by Constantin Eich was developed for Dinner above the City, an evening hosted by fofo studio on a rooftop in Barcelona. The starting point was the view itself: terracotta tiles, antennas and satellite dishes, translated into a palette of reds and pinks that carried through the whole evening, from stools, tablecloths and napkins to the tableware, the menu card and the food itself.

What stood out most was the rhythm of blocks and grids, visible both in the street layout and in the facades of the city. The lamps translate that same structure into an object: a fine grid base topped with a fabric cube that glows from red to orange as the evening light shifts.

Within one week, six lamps were built together with Lauritz and Lea, from cutting and sewing the fabric covers to shaping the grid bases. They were used for the first time at this event, flooding the long table in one shared spectrum of colour.
